Italy Trip 2022 - Street Photography
In my 61 years, I have not had many opportunities to travel overseas. But in the past five years, I’m making up for lost time. For the entire month of August 2022, my wife, Carol, and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary with a whirlwind trip to Italy. Since she is a culinary arts and nutrition teacher and we are both foodies, we decided to focus part of the trip on Parma, Modena and Bologna. We also visited Florence, Siena, Spello, Orvieto, Rome and Tivoli. And the bonus was that my daughter, Liliana, flew from New York to meet us for part of the trip. Although it was my third trip to Italy, this one was the most extensive and gave me the opportunity to take thousands of photographs I had only dreamed about. From landscapes, cityscapes, street photography and food, it took me more than a month just to comb through the proofs. This “Part 1” section focuses on street photography. In coming days, I’ll also be posting separate galleries of Italy’s landscapes/cityscapes.
